History

Canaan Crossing was developed from a 548-acre former farm in 1988. The development consists of 114 varying size lots and 19 acres of common elements. The common elements include walking trails, a conservancy area, the entrance, and roadways. Currently there are 49 full and part-time residents

Canaan Crossing is a private residential community located in the heart of West Virginia's Potomac Highlands. Outdoor recreational opportunities abound in, adjacent to, or near our community, including:

The Mon Forest Flatrock Run hiking trail, providing direct access to the Roaring Plains Wilderness, traverses the conservancy along the eastern side of the community.
